I Want Vg To Email Me As A Notificxation Of Voicemail, But I Dont Want

Hi, I set vg up to email me when i get voicemails... but As weird as this may sound, I would actually like to just get teh email without the attachments. so i can use it as a notification that there is a Voicemail.

 

can u tell me what i need to edit in the vg.ini file so that i can still receive emails but without the wav file.

You will need to change the voicemail scripts to stop the file from being attached.

 

Go through the scripts in \system\vm\ subdirectory and find all calls to Vm_Event COM function which send the "FORWARD" event. This is best done by opening the .vgs files in notepad or other text editor.

The files you should look in are VmLm.vgs and VmLmHangup.vgs.

 

You will need to be using the Enterprise version of VG, otherwise the changes made to .VGS voicemail system script files will not make any difference.

Here are the modified .VGS files.

Just place them in VG's \system\vm\ subdirectory and the .WAV files will no longer get attached to emailed voicemail alerts.

 

(works only with Enterprise and Evaluation versions of VG).
